MENU

The strategic value of data and technology is a hot topic within organisations globally.
They are thus looking for ways to master their digital governance in order to achieve the maximum benefit while creating a culture where stakeholders trust how their data is used.

At this Beltug/ISACA event, we will focus on the role of digital governance and trust professionals who bring the knowledge and experience needed to align IT with business strategies, to manage IT investments for maximum return on investment, and support resilience in IT operations while minimising risks.

Firstly, we will hear use cases from NATO and PSA, offering insights, best practices and inspiration on how to implement digital governance practices in the organisation and increase trust in digitisation. Then, we’ll present the findings from ISACA’s Global State of Digital Trust 2023 survey and we’ll have a panel discussion on the future of digital governance and trust: how will it look moving forward, and what are some of the major challenges to overcome?

This will be a hybrid event: you may choose to register for in-person or online participation. However, as there is limited space for in-person participants, once the maximum in-person capacity is reached, you will only have the possibility to register for online participation.
ISACA members can earn up to 5 CPEs if they attend the full programme.

In collaboration with IIA and KPMG, Isaca Belgium Chapter invites you to the Cyber and Audit event on June 27, 2023 @ the Brussels Office – KPMG Belgium, Luchthaven Brussel Nationaal 1K, Zaventem, 1930

Speakers:

Thomas Meyer
Director Cyber Security within the Digital Risk Management department of KPMG

Thomas has more than 25 years of experience in the field, holding various positions both as consultant and intern. His presentation will be about the growing importance of cyber security within audit (internal and external) and the impact of the new cyber related regulations (ISA315R update, DORA)

Mark Dekeyser
Internal Audit Process Manager KBC

Mark started his career in 1991 in the financial sector as IT specialist in PCs, servers, mainframes and international networks. He has also spent many years as an IT-analyst and programmer and knows the IT world inside-out. In 2005 Mark made the switch to Internal Audit, as an IT auditor. A few years later he became a policy officer in Audit, responsible for the training of auditors worldwide, as well as for the continuous improvement of the audit methodology, based on the IPPF International Standards. Mark knows his way around in the IoT, the grid, 5G, smart cities, AI, robotics, aerospace, cyber, crypto, blockchain, AR/VR, nanotech, quantum, … he thus can explain them to the international auditor community in search of new emerging risks. From 2020, Mark embarked on the path of cybersecurity. Today, Mark is again active in the IT sector as an AI specialist, and remains to have close ties with IIA Belgium and ISACA, for which he regularly provides seminars and training courses, in Belgium and across the globe.

Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs) are a broad range of technologies and approaches that can help to mitigating privacy risks when using sensitive or confidential data.  PETs can provide significant benefits to your privacy program as they enable innovative data usage without compromising the security and privacy of the information being shared.

The goal of this event is to provide a comprehensive overview of the trends, technologies and advancements in research related to PETs, as well as to illustrate their implementations in daily practice.  To this end, we bring together experts from ISACA, the Beltug Privacy Council and KU Leuven.

This will be a hybrid event.  The capacity to join the event in-person is limited.  As soon as the maximum event capacity is reached, you will only have the possibility to join the event online.

GRC: Be Connected! is a one-day in-person forum taking place on March 30th in Brussels-based Royal Library of Belgium.

The Cyber Security Coalition, ISACA Belgium, and Solvay Brussels School of Economics & Management bring together an engaged audience to discuss, challenge, debate and address how we can build an effective cybersecurity governance culture in our member organizations.

In these increasingly challenging times, many organizations struggle with implementing and enforcing an effective cybersecurity governance culture. The governance frameworks of ISACA are a good starting point for organizations, who want to define and adopt a governance structure tailored to their own needs while at the same time follow industry standards and norms.

The event is open to members of the Coalition, ISACA Belgium Chapter, and students & alumni of the Solvay Brussels Schools of Economics & Management.

The full programme will be announced mid-January.
