We are glad to announce our online event titled “How Privacy and Security can build bridges and collaborate when operating in AI enhanced environments” on the 17th of October 2024 with the speaker Katrina Destree.
Join us as we explore key considerations of why privacy and security can benefit by understanding nuances of each other’s worlds when working within an AI context. When designing solutions that utilise Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs), we need to consider possibilities together with the impact on fundamental rights. Katrina Destree
Katrina Destrée is an experienced privacy and sustainability leader with a proven record in developing and implementing privacy programs, sustainability initiatives, and reputation-building strategies for technology and financial services firms. She is based in San Diego, California after having previously lived and worked in Europe for 20 years (Belgium, France, the Netherlands, and Poland). An IAPP Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP), she holds IAPP’s CIPP/E and CIPM certifications and recently joined the IAPP Faculty. She is an independent consultant at Agréa Privacy & Sustainability Communications after working in global privacy departments at Dell Technologies, Silicon Valley Bank, and PayPal in Silicon Valley. Prior to privacy, she held senior management roles in sustainability at Nokia and the Global Enabling Sustainability Initiative (formerly a UN Initiative) in Brussels.
