Speakers and presentations:

Tania Postil – “Navigating the Cybersecurity Maze: How ISACA Certifications Empower Mastery of DORA and NIS2″. In her 20-minute session, Tania will delve into the latest European Union regulations, the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and the Network and Information Security Directive 2 (NIS2). These regulations are pivotal in strengthening cybersecurity frameworks across various sectors. Her presentation will highlight the key aspects of these legislations, emphasizing theirsignificance in today’s digital landscape. 

Tania is an experienced professional in audit, cybersecurity, and risk management, with a career spanning over 15 years. Her background includes roles in financial and operational audit, as well as extensive work in IT risk management and GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance). As an APMG-accredited CISA trainer, Tania helps professionals develop essential skills in IT audit and compliance.

Christian De Boeck – “While Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity (VUCA) still rule the world, how can we turn new regulations and certifications like CGEIT into an advantage?”. Let’s delve into how CGEIT can be leveraged to implement DORA and NIS-2 compliance, build a strong business case for theboard of directors, and enhance business continuity and operational resilience. 

Christian holds a PhD in sciences from ULB and works as a consultant and coach. He supports executives and leaders seeking to increase their resilience as well as the resilience, continuity, and sustainability of their enterprises. Christian has worked in diverse and international environments both abroad and in Belgium, where he collaborated with major financial institutions for 10 years. 

Geert Nobels – “Navigating Privacy in the Age of Generative AI: Challenges and Opportunities for CDPSE and CISM Professionals in Europe”. Generative AI (GenAI) is revolutionizing industries with its ability to create, synthesize, and analyze data at unprecedented scales. However, in Europe, where privacy regulations like the GDPR set a global standard, the integration of GenAI presents unique challenges and opportunities. This session explores the pivotal role of ISACA-certified professionals holding the CDPSE (Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer) and CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) credentials in navigating these complexities.

Geert started his career as a teacher, but quite quickly ended up in cybersecurity. He helps companies on a daily basis with NIS2 and GDPR related questions, using the ISO 27001 framework and awareness / training strategies to improve their digital resilience. An APMG-accredited CISA, CISM and CDPSE trainer, Geert actively contributes to the cybersecurity and additionally holds CISSP, CCSP, CCAK and CCSK certifications, along with an Executive Master in Cyber Security and Risk Management from Solvay Business School.
