Director Research
Initially appointed to the ISACA Board in 2022 as the Director of Membership, Koen’s role evolved in 2023 to include overseeing Marketing and Communications as well as Advocacy and Government Relations.
By June 2024, Koen assumed the position of Research Director. In this capacity, Koen acts as the chapter’s subject matter expert (SME) for ISACA Global’s research and publications. Furthermore, Koen serves as the primary contact for fostering chapter-led research initiatives, supporting the chapter in knowledge dissemination and potential project development.
Resposibilities
- Stays up-to-date on volunteer opportunities on the Engage portal and recommends potential chapter SMEs who would be a good fit for participation in the development or review of ISACA Global’s research initiatives.
- Stays abreast of new ISACA research, publications, and thought leadership by reviewing details on the ISACA website, www.isaca.org/research. Suggests to chapter leadership a chapter meeting on one of the thought pieces published by ISACA Global with a local speaker to provide regional insights on that topic
- Liaises with appropriate chapter leaders/board members to ensure information about ISACA research is relayed to chapter members, as appropriate.
